Norwegian extreme progressive metallers ENSLAVED have posted a year end update:

“It has got to be a good sign that once again we’re sitting here on New Year’s Eve, thinking ‘can we really hope for another year of THIS much musical progress, exciting travels and general insanity?’. Every year since we can’t remember when has been a solid step forward, and 2013 has certainly not been an exception. Wow. We feel grateful, humble and over-the-top motivated to make 2014 a giant leap forward.

To know that our music actually matters as much to you guys as it does for us out there is sometimes dizzying and surreal – then again; being dizzy and experiencing surrealism is the finest life has to offer – so let’s keep going.

Thank you to each and every one of our families, partners, crew, friends, colleagues, idols, enemies and every coincidental entity that has played any role in making ‘reality’ in 2013 what it was – it fucking ruled. 2014 will be even better, whatever that means… haha!”

Enslaved will join AMON AMARTH and SKELETONWITCH for the Deceiver Of The Gods North American Tour 2014.
